Coach Red Hoehn's squash team is one of two current pace-setters among the winter teams. In action through January 12, the racketmen were sporting a 3-0 mark, defeating M.I.T., as reported last month, as well as Amherst 7-2 and Cornell 6-3.
Hop Potter, grandson of President Emeritus Ernest Martin Hopkins, is in the number one position for the Indians. Even though he was defeated in the Amherst match, he came back strong to beat his Cornell opponent, Jim Cohen, 11-15, 15-9, 15-7, 16-13.
Dave Smoyer,' who last fall was goalie for the Green soccer team, has been playing an excellent game. Against Amherst he rallied from a two-game deficit to win. Later the same week he won his match with Cornell.
Other key players for the Green have been Bob Kaplan, Lewis Bruggeman, Wally Lord, Chuck Parton, Whit Foster, winner of two recent matches, Dick Redington, and Doug Judah.
