Arapahoe Basin was the site for the 1963 Dartmouth Cup Team Race. This annual skiing event is sponsored by the local Dartmouth alumni to interest boys of high school age in competitive skiing, and as one of the Dartmouth sports it is quite apropos. The local prep and high schools have come to anticipate this ski race every spring and the number of teams entering has grown steadily.

Ed Hunter '55 and Anson Mark '53 again organized the entire operation. Larry Jump'36 arranged for us to utilize the facilities of Arapahoe Basin and Eric Windish, eminent member of the A Basin Ski School, set the course. Chuck Kettering '53 and JimDeLong '61 were foremen of the course. Assisting in maintaining and watching the gates on the giant slalom were Ned Grant '30, Don McMichael '53, Dr. Henry Buchtel '28, Dr. Jim McClintock '44 and Hans and Lil Bookstrom (Art's '61 skiing mother and father).

The winning team was Boulder High School unseating Colorado Academy who, in past years, had taken all of the laurels. Those who attended as well as those who participated deemed the race highly successful. All who contributed to this grand endeavor are to be congratulated as it brings credit and praise to the College in these distant reaches of the Great West.

This month's luncheon featured the movies of the championship Dartmouth football team of last fall, and all there to witness this masterful team in action were impressed. Harry Lewis '55 discussed the proposed upcoming program in April which will be the first attempt of the local alumni to organize an educational seminar, this year featuring members of the Tuck School faculty. We anticipate that this will be a well attended seminar, not only by Dartmouth alumni, but by many representatives from the Denver business and professional community.
