The golf team boasts of four fairly talented players, plus another five with some experience. This could add up to a winning season, but at this stage it is too early to tell. The team will be competing without its captain, Dave McCollum, who has been sidelined for the season with a broken wrist.

On their swing through the South, the golfers played only one official match and were walloped by the University of Virginia 18-3. Coach Tommy Keane is quick to point out, though, the Nassau rules which were in effect do not give a true picture of the team's potential.

Currently playing in the number one position is Herb Carlson, a sophomore from New Britain, Conn., and behind him are three veterans, Tom Rand, Dick Leukart, and Jerry Sharon. These four, together with Keith Latimore, Class of 1961, should be the top five.

Rounding out the rest of the top ten are Bart Osborn, Jan Hoving, Steve Brown, Dean Fjelstul, and Mike Woodward. Next month we should know exactly how much potential Tommy Keane's golfers really have.
