As these notes reach you, some time in November, may the Secretary express to each of you and your families a very happy Thanksgiving Day, and may your table be blessed with love and abundance.

These girls Cleo and Dora,. Ethel, Florence, and Gladys have been giving us Southerners a bit of worry, especially Cleo and Dora. Those two storms hit the Florida coast quite badly. Fortunately the section where we live in Vero Beach was not seriously damaged and the Johnsons suffered not at all. It is said that the storms next year are to be "boys." They will play around the Virgin Islands so long that when they reach U.S. they will be all "petered out."

Jimmie Brotherhood's only peach tree in the back yard produced a whole bushel of nice peaches. Zita is making pie and jams from them. They invite the mob for a visit and a "stick-up."

Ralph Sexton sent me the clipping from the Boston Herald telling of the gift from the Rolfe Estate of $95,851.00 for the general use of the College. By the way, Ralph is much improved in health. Good news, big boy.

The hard workers for our Reunion, Leon and Geneva and Charlie Tubbs and Sunny, had a nice dinner together at the Hotel Lafayette, Portland, Me., to celebrate the success of the occasion.

Edge and Bertha of Manchester, N. H., have been spending a month's vacation in Maine — while there, they drove to North Berwick, Me., to call on Harriet Austin and family. Debbie, one of the daughters, is a brilliant scholar and has earned her Master's and Ph.D. degrees and is a professor in Penn State College. Nice going, Debbie.

Swell note from Bull Turner from St. Louis. Glad you could be with us at the Reunion, young feller. We too enjoyed seeing the man who made the two touchdowns in the new Harvard Stadium and won the game for Dartmouth back 60 years ago.

Thanks boys, and girls for the many letters of appreciation for my recent Class letter and picture. It's been a long, hot summer down here in Florida - a cool breeze off the top of Mt. Washington would be greatly appreciated by this Yankee.

Cheerio! and cheer for the good old green.
