The Season's Greetings to all members of the 1909 family and a reminder that this is the month to make a 1964 contribution to the 1965 Alumni Fund and take credit for it on your 1964 income tax return.
Thirteen members gathered on October 23 at the Hotel Vendome in Boston for the annual dinner before the Harvard game. Those present were Chet Brett, Wilbur Bull, Ed Chappelear, Hal Clark, Mike Farley, Ingie Fearing, Bert French, Plum Leighton, Al Newton, Jim Tuttle, Ollie Greenwood, Jim Hitchcock, and Gordon Weinz. Plans were discussed regarding the informal reunion next June and it was decided to go ahead as we have in past years. GeorgeHinckley was in town for the game but did not make the dinner.
Mrs. Minna J. Andrews, widow of Harold, has returned to their previous home 9249 Abbott Avenue, Miami Beach, Fla., and any '09ers that stop by will receive a hearty greeting.
Asher A. Clement has been heard from through his daughter-in-law. He is suffering from arthritis and travels around the country hoping to find a climate that will ease his pain. He is one of our octogenarians.
William Albert Loughlin of 140 Cherry Street, Gardner, Mass., passed away in that city after a five weeks illness on October 27. He was a 41 year contributor to the Alumni Fund.
Leon C. Marshall is now at the Eagle Convalescent Home in Concord, N. H. JohnTortes Meyers, our oldest classmate, is now living at 442 East First St., Rialo, Calif. 92376. Walter A. Sidley is back at his old home 93 Bodwell St., Lawrence, Mass.
Warren L. Peck, 18 Oak St., St. Johnsbury, Vt., has been confined to a wheel chair for some years and is reported in failing health by his wife Dorothy.
Stanley and Ella Leighton celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary on October 25 and joined Lawrence and Percita Gardner in that select group. The Gardners celebrated theirs on April 10. Congratulations to these two fine couples of 1909.
Our tennis team of Jim Greenebaum and Hal Clark have put up their racquets for the season and are now concentrating on their bridge games. Harold celebrated his seventy-seventh birthday on October 16 by going for a swim in Cape Cod Bay.
Mrs. Ralph J. Richardson has returned to her home at 614 W. 8th St., Claremont, Calif., after spending a month in the east visting old college friends of Ralph's.
Wilbur and Anna Bull came down from Hanover for the Harvard and Yale games and then visited the Harold Clarks at their Sagamore Beach home.
