Harold Fish and his wife spent most of the winter and spring traveling around Mexico
Mary and Bill Page spent part of the winter in southern California. After they returned home Bill wrote me a letter advising that they had spent some time in El Cajon which is only two miles from La Mesa where Eleanor and I spent the winter.
Edith and Bug Gardiner had two daughters, who are married, and a son who attended M.I.T. They have five grandchildren and eight and one-half great-grandchildren, six of whom are boys. Edith plays the viola in the Seattle Community Symphony and also in the Senior Citizens Ensemble. This group is remarkable in that each of the players is over seventy years of age.
Because this year celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Alumni Fund I have asked four classmates to help 1906 make a record in the percentage of participation and the amount of contributions. The four men are Art Chapin, Hal Fish, Bill Page and CapPierce.
The birthday boys for April are Chase, Cushing, Howe, Jones, Nuelle, Russ, Watson Smith and Twiss.
The Class of 1906 is sorry to report the following deaths: John Jay Burtch, on February 20; Elon G. Pratt on February 23, and Mrs. William Tuss on December 23, 1963.
