The 1964 Dartmouth Alumni Fund, now in its 50th year, had its official opening on April 1 and it is hoped that every living member of our class of 1907 will participate. The widows are doing an excellent job, as always.
On March 24 at the Bath Club on North Redington Beach, Fla., which is a few miles north of St. Petersburg, Tute Worthen was host at a stag party to the following '07ers: Allan Brown, O. C. Davis, Bob Kenyon, Duke Sanborn, Leon Sprague, and Bill Walker. An enjoyable time was had by all.
Hobbs Knight of Ogunquit, Me., writes that on January 20 while taking a walk on the beach, he slipped on a smooth patch of ice and broke his left hip. It was a foggy afternoon, nobody around. So he dragged himself up to the parking lot on his good leg and arms, got into the front seat of the car and drove home, after which he took a ride in the ambulance to York Hospital where he remained for four weeks. Hobbs is back home now using a wheel chair and a walker. He expects to be off his left leg for four months, while Maude watches over him. That was a real tough experience, Hobbs, and a very interesting one, so please get well soon.
Jim O'Neill, your class president, writes that he is very well and busy as any man of 82 should be - probably busier. He enjoys what he is doing: writing a couple of hours each morning. He recently completed a book, a pamphlet and a few reviews. Congratulations.
Bill Sanborn's wife Edith retired from Massachusetts and is living in Florida, has become a correspondent for the New Port Richey Press. They say it is Pasco County's fastest growing newspaper as per the March 5 issue.
