Two recent graduates of the College have been added to the staffs of the Admissions Office and Freshman Office, and two present staff members will assume new responsibilities in the fall.
Richard G. Jaeger '59 will become Assistant to the Director of Admissions and D. Scott Palmer '59 will assume the double duties of Assistant Dean of Freshmen and Assistant to the Director of Admissions. They are replacing Seward Weber '49, who has been named Director of Admissions at Reed College, and Robert G. Landen of the Freshman Office, who will return to full-time teaching in the History Department.
In a realignment of duties in the Admissions Office, Alfred T. Quirk '49, Assistant Director of Admissions, has been named Deputy Director of Admissions, with general administrative responsibilities. Davis Jackson '36, Assistant Director of Admissions, has been named Associate Director of Admissions, with responsibility for special projects such as admission of foreign students and transfer students.
Mr. Jaeger, the 1959 class secretary, is now teaching English at Hanover High School and is coordinator of its English curriculum. Mr. Palmer is currently serving with the Peace Corps in Chile and teaching English at the University of Huamango.
