In addition to the Gilroy play the Hopkins Center in October offered an exhibition of the watercolors of New York artist Barse Miller; a Dartmouth Players production of W. S. Gilbert's "Engaged," directed by Prof. Henry B. Williams; concerts of Latin American music by the Folkloristas de Ramon, the University of Venezuela Chorus, and the music of the past of Spain and Colonial Mexico as presented by the New York Pro Musica; and an exhibit of. the skills of New Hampshire craftsmen. Alumni Hall in the Center was also the site of a big Autumn Ball, a formal affair for the entire Upper Valley area, sponsored by the Friends of Music at Hopkins Center. Proceeds from the ball will benefit the music program at the College.
