Hopkins Letters

For the use of future biographers of the late President Hopkins and of historians of the College, the Archives Department of Baker Library urges all Dartmouth Alumni who possess letters from EMH to send them in for photocopying. The originals will be returned promptly to the senders. In many instances the meaning of a

letter written by President Hopkins will not be clear from the letter alone, but will require either a copy of or an explanation of the letter to which it was in response.

The College's Archives will respect any stipulations by the holders of such correspondence as to a date before which references to living persons may not be published.
