As we start the new year, we have plenty of snow and the ski enthusiasts are spending all the free time they can find on the slopes practicing for the Annual Faculty-Student Slalom scheduled for January 28.

Plans are still going forward for the May 20 meeting of the Nathan Smith Medical Society. We hope you will be here to see and hear about all the progress at the School, and to participate in the election of officers.

INCIDENTAL INTELLIGENCE: The Hendersonville, N. C., Times-News reports the activities of Ken Cosgrove s50m in relieving the worries of survivors of cardiac attacks.... We recently enjoyed dinner in Puerto Rico with Bill Fletcher M'53 who is now doing surgery at Oregon. ... Ben andSarah Gilson M'55 miss the rigors of New Hampshire winters in Guam's 80 degrees, where Ben encounters bizarre surgical problems among the natives.... Bruce andWanda LaFollette M'ss are now located at Fort Bragg, N. C., after their European tour of duty. ... Virology has been occupying the attention of Ken Herrmann M'57 in Buffalo, but he will soon move Sally, Johnny and Alan back to Atlanta. ... Details of the Bill Gallaghers' M'58 Harvard Dartmouth party may be obtained from Mel Britton M'58, Erv Philipps M'58, Paul Raslavicius M'58, Bob Keller M'59, Ralph Miller M'59 or Bob Timothy M'59.

Erv Philipps M'58 is planning on his 10th in June already.... Floyd Robinson M'59 is completing his neurosurgery residency at Baylor in June, and Gloria and he are considering private practice, more Baylor, or possibly Viet Nam.... Rolfe Spiegel entertains his parents, the Pete Spiegels M'59, in Chesapeake, Va., with his riding techniques. ... Bob ten Bensel M's9 soon completes his tour of duty at the U.S. Naval Hospital, San Diego, and tentatively plans to move the family back to Minnesota. ... Dave LevisM's9, now doing a pediatric residency in Los Angeles, reports hearing a rumor that Mark Saginor M'59 is getting married in February.

It was a pleasure to have our own Ted Harris M'60 back in town to be featured m Grand Rounds recently.... We can't help wondering if Sol Rockenmacher M'61, with Linda and their two youngsters, are finding Havre de Grace changed since our early World War II days there.... Val Graham M'62 and her husband, Bill s57m, are working in Albuquerque sun instead of playing in New England snow with their Bill and Hilary.... Another Old Green who bemoans the lack of snow in Santa Barbara is Bill Sheehan M'62 who is heading towards pulmonary medicine. ... We are happy to hear that Pat McLaughlin M'63 has sufficiently recovered from a severe hepatitis to return to part-time work at MGH.

"Drs. Savage, Nice and Mudge" were mightily pleased by a Christmas greeting signed by 21 M'66ers representing six Boston hospitals, And our sincere appreciation to all of you who made our holiday happier by your greetings, even though you did not find time to include news items!
