Notice is found elsewhere of the death of Moses B. Perkins in Concord, N. H., on Sept. 18, 1966, at the age of 85. Always vigorous, we had counted heavily on seeing him at our 65th reunion in Hanover next June. But all we can do now is to join with the many generations of his students all over this country in honoring his memory. The world is the better for his having lived in it.

Further sad news for the class is that Dr.James Huntington, after his retirement into a nursing home in Amherst, Mass., where he seemed to be making splendid progress during the summer, has had a relapse, and according to latest reports, has been suffering almost unbearable pain. We can merely hope that he will have speedy relief. We are thinking of him.

Herm Farwell is happily moving into new quarters built for him in the home of his son, Fred. He writes of his trip this summer after the arduous work of last year's Alumni Fund drive. Just as it took many years to become accustomed to hearing from him from Du Bois St., after his lengthy stay in Leonia, N. J., while he was teaching at Columbia, so now we can hope that the new and rather charming address of 6 Pasture Lane, will be his for many years to come. Fortunately, I believe that we will not have to remember a new "zip" number. It will still be Darien, Conn. 06820. Do write to him about other things than finances. He is a splendid correspondent! Of course, I do not know what he writes to the ladies, but to me his letters are always a joy. As an example, let me quote part of the latest one. He writes: "... About ten-thirty last night I reached my house after an absence of almost three weeks. My older son and his wife drove me to the West Coast for sightseeing and short visits with members of the family. The star scenic attractions were Rocky Mt. National Park, Bryce Canyon, Zion Canyon, Angeles Crest highway, Sequoia National Park, King's Canyon, Muir Woods near San Francisco, north rim of Yosemite Valley, Mt. Whitney, Death Valley, north rim of Grand Canyon, Glen Canyon Dam, cliff dwellings on Mesa Verde and many other less famous places. At Pueblo, I halted for a few days at the home of Hermon Jr. who is no longer in the Air Force, but is a college professor at Southern Colorado State College. In Los Angeles, I visited my sister, now a retired physician, and there I had a short telephone visit with Henniker Sanborn, but Fred Bradley's (phone) did not respond. The whole trip was rather strenuous, yet the route was arranged to give as much as possible in the shortest time. I was able to see a considerable fraction of my family, including three of my five greatgrandchildren..."

See what I mean? Try it for yourselves!
