Kenneth P. O'Donnell, former campaign manager for the late President Kennedy and currently a candidate for governor in nearby Massachusetts, was the featured speaker at the conference of the New England Intercollegiate Young Democrats on campus recently. Party leaders from New Hampshire and the region joined with Dartmouth faculty and student leaders in this conference on "Election Campaigns: National, State, and Local." A week later another Democratic Party leader, Senator Ernest Gruening of Alaska, an outspoken critic of U. S. Policy in Vietnam, was a Lecture Series guest of the Undergraduate Council. The students have scheduled Selective Service chief General Lewis Hershey for the UGC Lecture Series this month.
