As long as it is so near to June 30 and the wind-up of the Alumni Fund Campaign for 1966 I'm hoping you won't mind one last and brief reference to this important subject. For the College we seem to be doing reasonably well - for the class it is not so good. Of course too many of our number have left us since the 1965 asking and our smaller number seems to have affected our "participation" index. Thank you if you have sent your gift; if you have not yet got to it, please do what you have planned so it will get in by June 30.
Ernest Brown some time back wrote of a visit with Mrs. Jerry Mahoney in North Andover, Mass. He reports she was "as bright and lively as 50 years ago. Still a 'substitute' teacher at 80 years in North Andover. Delightful person."
Gink Ford sends in a letter from Buck Lewers written after one of our reunions - does not give the date but speaks of "Ike at his best." Says there were 37 men and 30 wives. How many can we hope for in '68?
"T am planning to get out a second News Totted m May to keep you up-to-date on the Alumni Fund and pick up any news coming in after these notes have gone to Hanover It was very heartwarming to have four or five of you take time to write after .ho first letter in March.
My very best wishes for a pleasant and healthy summer. The next regular notes will in the October MAGAZINE. If in the next couple of months you have any news or feel like a word with the secretary, etc., drop me a line just to be sociable. This goes for our widows, sons, daughters, grandchildren, and friends of 1903.
