It promises to be an outstanding event, so mark down the date on your calendars.
After considerable discussion by the executive committee, the following proposal was unanimously adopted: Resolved, that the class form a 1929 memorial fund in memory of deceased classmates. The fund would be assigned to the College as part of their general endowment. The income, and under certain conditions, the capital would be expended by the College as it sees fit under the direction of the executive committee. Resolved, that each disbursement would carry the notation that it was made "in memory of the deceased members of the Class of 1929." Where books or other physical properties were concerned, a bookplate or plaque could be provided with a suitable inscription. Resolved, that the fund would be increased subsequent to the date of its founding by the amount of $25.00 from the general class treasury at the time of notification of the death of a member of the Class of 1929. As treasury funds would permit, we would add to the memorial fund of the Class the sum of $25.00 in memory of those who have died prior to the founding of the fund. Any classmate or friend of the class who wishes to add to this fund would be more than welcome to do so and if they wish to contribute in memory of a specific classmate who has died, they could do so. The treasurer would be charged with handling the receipt and transfer of these funds to the College. Resolved, that an appropriate permanent record in the form of a book, plaque or otherwise will be maintained and kept in a location readily available to all who might wish to see it, probably in the library. In this book or on the plaque would be inscribed the names of each of our deceased classmates and the year of his death and birth if available; also the names of those who have made donations to the fund and in whose memory the donations were made. The amount of the donation will be recorded by the treasurer in his accounts.

Bob Monahan's office for the past several years on the third floor of Crosby Hall was moved in late January to the third floor of Fairbanks North to make more space available in Crosby for those involved in the 1969 bicentennial celebration. Recent campus visitors may recall Fairbanks North as the former Clark School building on Elm Street which was moved about three years ago to a central point north of Thayer Hall and west of Mass Row.
