We cut all our bridges - sold our home, parceled out all the furniture, etc., among the children, and moved to an old farmhouse here in Round Top (Texas), which we had restored. Now I am having a ball raising cattle and doing all I can to learn the business includextension courses at Texas A. & M. We re no to 30 head and a fine herd sire and it hasn't been easy to find people willing to sell the quality we want in the foundation herd go we not only love raising cattle but we love living with our view to hell and gone and breathing all this fresh air. Al Fisher sends along some breathtaking snapshots of Venezuela. He says: "Bill and Eleanor Coles and Bob and Margot Bottome '30 rolled out the red carpet and made our stay a most delightful one. While the Coles and the Fishers were outnumbered 66 to 4 they had their own reunion, and the accomplishments were about even. We were impressed with the friendly Venezuelans everywhere, as well as their huge oil wells, iron mines, steel mills, ceramic factories, aluminum rolling mills and abundant water power, typified by the huge Guri Dam." ...
