Most of the above stayed at our own headquarters, the Shady Lawn Motel in White River, taken over in toto by the class. Trunkie Brittan was the one who made all the arrangements, and to him goes all the credit.

We also had a fine dinner in Alumni Hall, which was attended by nearly 140 members and their wives. Incidentally, Cynthia, Cart's daughter, John Moxon Jr. and wife, and Phil Fitzpatrick's son were in attendance. Also, seen at the game, were: Sonny Hetfield, Jim Loeb, Ed Harris, who hasn't been seen by your correspondent for many a moon, and who looks very well, King Badger, Don Jeffery, Joe Piazza, Larry Lougee, Ed Fowler, Paul Nouri, and Paul Babcock.

In Cleveland, Ohio, George Case, who has been president of the Lamson & Sessions Company for the past 18 years, was named chairman of the board of directors. Before becoming president in 1950, he had served as vice president and treasurer and. was elected a director in 1939. George is also a director of the Union Commerce Bank of Cleveland. The numerous civic and welfare organizations in which he has been active include the YWCA, Citizens League, Governmental Research Institute, Salvation Army, and Jones Home.

Matt Rock is owner and manager of Mathias Rock Inc., which has been named the authorized Stran Steel Franchised Builder for the Wilton, Conn., area.

We suppose that everyone now knows that our own John S. Dickey announced that he will retire during the 1969-70 school year, which marks the college's 200th anniversary.

Porter Kier writes: "Kay and I have had a busy summer. We started in June with our youngest daughter's wedding in the garden, with weather co-operating. Then drove to North Carolina for a nephew's wedding in July. On September 1, we left for Texas for our younger son's wedding to a Texas girl, a student in one of his classes at the University of Texas. We made a vacation of it, driving down to Austin, then on to San Antonio, New Orleans, and home. So . . . we had a busy summer. Next stop: The Penn game with plans for reunion in Hanover next June." This from Bill Davenport: "I'm at Harvard on sabbatical leave doing research on the program for Technology and Society. Who knows? I may even get to a reunion. . .
