The Greenwich contingent, one of the better '44 hotbeds, was further enhanced last fall when Ray Zrike joined the group. To make things more jolly, Chuck Glines was the realtor through whom Ray bought the land; Alex Gillespie was the attorney at the closing, and I would have to assume he got the others in to do a bit of painting.

Dartmouth is so big in that area that they're now working on a Dartmouth Club of Greenwich. Ray ran into Tank Bruce and Swampy Marsh at the recent organizational meeting.

It would seem that Clark MacGregor threw some fear into the judiciary, when in an interview about Adam Clayton Powell's appeal to the courts to have him seated, Clark opined that if a judge agreed to hear such a case, he wouldn't be surprised if a move were made in the House to impeach the judge. And, such enough, the judge said "No."

Monte Basbas, Newton's popular Mayor, must be spending a lot of library time in the joke department to keep up with demands for speaking engagements. They get the poor soul for "breakfast meetings," casual club "luncheons" and "after dinner" speeches every time some club or organization decides to have a "do." If he keeps it up, he'll be sitting in with Clark one of these days.

Hap Bush, who has been doing a great job on the Newsletter, recently cited the number of '44's who are officers in regional Dartmouth Clubs. Now Bill Fead joins the ranks as enrollment chairman of the Plainfield, N. J., club.

This whole thing of continued activity in Dartmouth affairs on the part of alumni never ceases to amaze me. Recently I got involved in a very small way with the Dartmouth Glee Club which was passing through Cincinnati on a nine-state tour. The programming, the scheduling, the housing situation, the ticket sales, the after-concert reception were all perfection - the result of beautiful planning in Hanover and coordination with many, many alumni. And to think that these kids gave over twenty concerts in a thirteen-day period.

Win Martin is in Cambridge, Mass., with Arthur D. Little, Inc. Bob Williamson has moved to a new home in Gates Mills, Ohio, and Tom Breen is now down in Springfield, Va.

Golf Tournament. Since most of you are too preoccupied with your golf games to write about your other activities, we're going to hold a correspondence golf tournament. Kindly drop me a card before the end of June noting down your best gross score, your best net score, and your course rating. You might be a winner ... and get a color TV set. The first is possible, the latter more dubious. But do drop me a card.
