The latest "change of address" list has just come through, and I am delighted to report that there were none tangled up with an APO number. Of course, there are still enough humorists at large peddling front row seats to "South Korea," to logically fill the void in the ranks .... and I certainly wish you all a safe and sane fall season.

It seems as though we have got an inexhaustible reservoir of bridegrooms. We had an excellent selection this summer.

Going back to April, Don Hinkley and the lovely Lela Emery of Cincinnati were married on the 29th in the Queen City under the studied steerage of Bob Gilchrist. Bob reports that the bride was magnificent, the groom flawless, the festivities most swish, and the ensuing honeymoon to Florida and Jamaica excellent. Bill Portman '45 and Don Hawley '45 were other Dartmouths in attendance.

On May 6, John McAllister took Elinor Holme as his bride in Denver. Elinor was a senior stewardess for American Airlines, an ■excellent testimonial to John's keen eye. Dr.Ed Price of Kansas City was an usher. (How that Ed gets around I was out in K.C. about the time of John's wedding and ran into Ed at a picnic, a restaurant, and a ball game. Can't imagine when he worked in that trip to Denver.)

That brings us up to the month of glorious nuptials, June. Joe Dammann and Barbara Bloch of New York started the ball rolling on the gth with a Manhattan wedding. Following their honeymoon, the couple settled in Virginia.

On June 16, the master scientist, Paul Jones and pretty Alice Warner o£ Fitchburg, Mass. were married. I still don't know just what Paul is doing but I shouldn't be surprised if he was up to his elbows in the Hell Bomb.

The next day, Dr. Ward Weimer and Nell Pittard of Gulfport, Miss., were married at the Church of St. William in St. Simons, Ga. After a brief honeymoon at Sea Island the artist-doctor and his lady came back to the asphalt jungle where Ward practices .... at St. Catherine's in Brooklyn.

The 17th was also the big day for DickRanger and pretty Carol Roland of Nahant, Mass. They exchanged vows at the Church of St. John in Swampscott. And what a newspaper write-up they got; Mac Arthur's communiques don't get that much space.

June 24 was another busy day. "SwampyMarsh" and Blanche Moore of Larchmont perambulated down the aisle of St. Johns Church in the bride's home town. After a wedding trip to Bermuda, Mr. and Mrs. Swampy settled in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Harvey Miller and pretty Joan Goetz of Altoona were married the same day .... and like the Marshes headed for the pink sands of Bermuda. Harvey is an announcer for Station WJSW in Altoona. The Millers will settle in South Lakeside, Pa.

Harry "Rocky" Davidson and lovely Dottie Bridgham of Dedham, Mass., were married in the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Dedham. The Boston Barrister and his bride will make their home in Washington, D. C., where the Rock will work for the NLRB.

Then Uncle Bob Colwell took time off from his Dartmouth and Insurance duties to marry the very lovely Virginia Sidely of New Rochelle on June 10. Cousin Harry Colwell was best man, and "Moose" Musser was among the corps of ushers. I understand that was quite a gala occasion.

And swinging over into July, BeverleyChaney and Louise Craig of Nantucket were married on the 15 th in the bride's home town. The Chaneys will make their home in Williamsburg, Va. Historic Americana .... married in Nantucket, live in Williamsburg.

And then old Marsh Clark came through. Marsh and Ellen Stollenwerck of Memphis were married July 29 at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Memphis. Last May, Ellen was chosen Queen to preside over the Ra-Met Carnival festivities in Memphis and Marsh, never one to let a good weekend get by unattended, winged his way down .... and got front-paged in the newspapers with the Queen. Marsh is associated with Benton 8c Bowles Advertising in New York.

On July 22, Rolf deLeuw and "Virginia Mansfield were married in the new deLeuw homestead. Rolf, a pretty active lawyer these days, was obliged to let work come before pleasure and had to defer the honeymoon until the fall.

That brings us up to date on those who have knocked down their income tax. Now for those who intend to.

Jim Carter and Nancy Brewster of Albany, N. Y., have announced plans for an October wedding. Jim, a graduate of the Columbia Law School, is associated with Carter and Conboy, law firm in Albany. Charlie Geer and Mary Gibson of Princeton have announced their engagement. Charlie has become a very successful magazine illustrator, is temporarily living in New York. Henry Allen and Hilda Moon of Petersburg, N. Y., have made wedding plans. Good home-towners, Hilda is a teacher and Henry is assistant postmaster. And from Staten Island comes the good news that Dave Nutt and Grace Quaranta will soon be% married. Dave is presently with the William Von Zehle Advertising Agency in New York.

And more milestones.... new heirs and heiresses! Princess Elizabeth may look with envy upon: "Ricky" Whiting, son of the DickWhitings, born for Dartmouth greatness June 30 ... . and Diane Burnham (Don and Betty'sthird) in June .... and Deborah Anne Daley(Fred "The Flyer" and Betty's first) on May 14.... and Robert Gean Fairbanks (Bob andPatty's first) on March 21. Very best congratulations to all!

(Just a brief recap on the Poppas .... Dick is an Arlington, Va., lawyer; Don is psychiatring at near-by Chestnut Lodge in Rockville, Md.; The Flyer is making sponge rubber in Shelton, Conn.; and Bob is a newspaper editor in Natick, Mass.)

We're running a little shy of space.... so we'll wind up with the boys who made their way back to the Hanover valley this summer: Norm Simpson, the Gus Pratts, John Rexford,Brad Long, Bob Meyers, Fred Brandenburg,Art Saul, the Larry Ritters, Ross Higier, the Chuck Regans, the Al Roses, the Henry Aliens (Heavens! they got married since the announcement above! Congratulations!), the Harry Careys, and Fred Campbell.

Hope you can work in a couple of football weekends.
