Well, Charlie Blakemore left me the monkey — he didn't tell me it had fleas; however, he's (the monkey) holding his own Hope I can hold mine?

Thank God for the long, hot dry summer, for after the wet reunion, I think all of us welcomed the change of pace. Anything I could say about the reunion is of course anti-climatical, but I'm going to say it anyway. I don't know about you; however, I have never known three-days' time to pass so swiftly. Good friends, good liquor, and excellent surroundings have a way of making this happen. After the idle chit-chat of what are you doing, who are you with, where are you living, and how many kids was over with, the retreat back to the undergraduate days became a reality.

It is amazing to Mary and me that none of the Class of '52 aged in the least after fifteen years in the so-called "cruel world." Aging together is the most graceful experience we shall ever know; let's always cherish it - little profound for me, but truthful!

Bouquets to the entire Reunion Committee for a fine job in creating an atmosphere that we had hoped for but never realized would become a reality. - Cheers!

Bouquets to the College for providing the facilities that enabled all of us to feel that we were the most important people in town.

Bouquets to the merchants in Hanover who made it possible for us to smile while the wives purchased camel seats, geiger-counters, skates with out-riggers and Eleazar's love potion for 30° below weather.

Bouquets to the Banquet Committee, particularly Rosy Rosenwald who shook all of us out of our alcoholic trances with his quick quips and sensational expose that he had the sensational expose that he had the guts to honeymoon in Hanover while attending the fifteenth. You earn the "Red Badge of Courage"!

A special corsage to the Trautweins who made it possible for all of us to release our pent-up emotional pleasures by singing to our hearts' content at the tent Saturday night. Five daffodils to Bill Thornton, Jack McNary, Jay Anderson, Chet Wiley and John Grocott for rehearsing diligently in the past five years for their choral entree during the music recital. Lilies of the valley to MarcelDurot and family for looking so healthy and hearty Sunday morning.
