The first monthly luncheon this fall was held at the University Club on September 27. Ere the delicious lunch was finished President Don McMlchael '53, ever on the job, announced business before dessert and called on Jerry Samuelson '59, our round-up man. Jerry said his team needed five more volunteers to contact high schools. Jay Evans '49 will be here October 17 and that evening Patsy and Cal Fisher '32, our alumni councillor, will give a supper and reception for the advisors of several high schools. They should be favorably impressed after Patsy's collation. On October 20 the prospects will be given a look-over while Jay Evans talks to them, a film strip shown, and refreshments served to ease their tensions.
Bob Montgomery '56 described our weekend seminar to be held in Estes Park No- vember 1-3. Professors Ehrmann and Jensen will lecture and lead the discussions and we are most grateful that such outstanding members of the faculty will be our mentors.
Ev Parker '16 told of his fascinating experience at Alumni College emphasizing how efficiently every detail was thought out from parking lot to seminar assignment. He is recovering his cheerfulness now that the Gloom and Doom of Harry Bond's '42 course has begun to wear off.
