The regular monthly luncheon of our small, but certainly nonetheless enthusiastic, group was held at the Arizona Manor on Tuesday, March 5. The prime rib entree, still only a modest two bucks, has to be the best bargain in our tourist-laden town. For those of you who haven't visited Phoenix or its environs yet, remember the welcome mat is always out. Why not plan to join us and use the sunshine as your excuse?
Listening attentively to President Dr. Dick Loughry's ('34) report on final preparation for the annual dinner and nomination and election of officers were Dick Vaules '57, Russ Fisher '17, Dutch Waterbury '12, Bill Gilmore '34, Frank Poor '26, Dr. Lowell Wormley '27, Nick Carter '27, Dick Holbrook '31, Bill Crisp '17, Bill Behrens '56, and Jim Martin '36. The president seemed a bit more relaxed than usual and is obviously anticipating the end of his term next month.
Our banquet is now definitely set for Thursday, April 4, 1968 and will be held at the beautiful Mountain Shadows Country Club. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. and preceded by the customary period reserved for fellowship and libation. We are fortunate this year to have an opportunity to welcome J. Michael McGean '49, Secretary of the College, to our midst as our principal speaker and to receive a current report on the Hanover scene.
