Finally, after months in the making, here's the news as reported by former Phi Delt basement swimming star Ralph McDevitt (I had to clean it up a little).
"Tod Wurst is almost as bald as he was freshman year. Doing well in radiology in New York City. Scott Simmons lives with Tod, Upper West Side. He travels northward frequently as a corporate finance type for Toronto Dominion Bank's New York office. He's been seen with the same woman on a number of occasions but 'she's not my girlfriend.'
"Jim Morrison with angelic Katherine Isabel (age seven months), made an appearance at the Princeton-Dartmouth football game. He and his wife Sally live in Greenwich, and Jim works in N.Y.C. Andy Gaillard works for the U.S. Attorney's office in Hartford and New Haven. He and his wife, Kendal, live somewhere in-between.
"Fellow Greenwich High alum MarkSoane will marry in 1991. All we know is that the wedding will be in Denver. He works for a start-up concern outside of San Francisco. Kate Ringe is also getting married, probably in 1991. She works for some type of consulting outfit out on the Main Line in Philly. JimMcKenzie has a role in the daytime show called 'Philly Law.' He plays Dad at night to his son Jake. His wife, Mimi, is also an attorney.
"Stayed with John Froemming in Washington, D.C. Another darn lawyer when he's not travelling to Europe or other exciting places.
"Football coach Buddy Teevens '79 tells me that his brother Shaun is living outside of Princeton (no doubt spying on the Tigers football squad) and working for a computer company in 'some type of management position.'"
My apologies to both Ralph and KarenMasterson, whose baby girl is named Amanda, not Kelly as I reported last month. I've got to make sure to read those P.P.S.'s. I hope the baby won't grow up with an identity crisis.
Hank Malin took keyboard in hand in January to inform on a couple more of our less-noted classmates. Hank himself married Susan Marie Hart (Smith '78) a year ago. The two met at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Hank is the assistant dean of freshman admissions at Union College, where Susan is now the associate director of the Annual Fund. Says Hank, "after an intense training session, I can assure you that she does indeed know all of the Dartmouth songs."
Hanks also tells us that Steve Quickel and Cheryl Moldovan were married two years ago and were expecting their first child in February. Going further back, Priscilla Downs and Gary Turtle were married in 1987 and are the proud parents of two Charles Wesley and Faith Victoria.
All's quiet on the Canton front. Lee and I made the annual pilgrimmage to The Big East Tournament in March along with TomShanahan, John Connolly '81, Chris Morrison '81, Brian Cusack '81 and Ray (Go Siena) Patterson '83. Joining us for the first time were Ed and Ellen Frechette, who were suitably impressed by our stamina and happy to be away from the kids for a weekend. Faces in the crowd included Frank Polsinello '84, Bill Connolly '84, and Dale Latanzia '87. Brian Hicks '87 called me for tickets, but as usual I was of no use to anyone.
