Three Dartmouth seniors are among 122 of the nation's students to be given Danforth Fellowships for graduate study toward college teaching. In past years, the College had received annually one winner and one honorable mention.
George W. Cobb of Blacksburg, Va., Robert G. Kegan of St. Paul, Minn., and Robert Tannenwald of Washington, D. C., will receive support renewable for four years of study toward a Ph.D. They were selected from some 2000 applicants. Honorable mention was accorded to James W. Newton of Glendale, Ariz., and to Steven Reiss of Plainview, N. Y.
