The SUASCO Dartmouth Club has been officially accepted as Dartmouth's 126th and newest alumni club. The first annual meeting was held at the Framingham Motor Inn in December. At this meeting the 75 members attending enjoyed Bob Blackman's talk on Dartmouth football and the College. It was very informative and provided those present with some of the behind-the-scenes happenings in Dartmouth football.

At this meeting, the following men were elected officers for two year terms: President, Robert B. Swift '49; Ist vice president, Edward J. Finerty Jr. '52; 2nd vice president, William A. Schlander '46; secretary, Norman T. Ross Jr.; and treasurer, John H.Potter '63. The following were elected to serve on the Club's executive committee: Edward L. Casey '37, Ray A. Hinds Jr. '52, Harold A. Wiper Jr. '52, Thomas Napoleon '53, Gary T. Finerty '58, John F. Lanigan '58, and William E. Gundy '60.

Previous activities of the Club included a Smoker with football films last spring and a bus trip to the Dartmouth-University of Massachusetts football game last September. By the time this is published a Get-Acquainted Dinner-Dance, featuring the full Barbary Coast orchestra, will have been held at the Nashawtuck Country Club in Concord on April 26.

The SUASCO Dartmouth Club is affiliated with the Boston Dartmouth Club. The area covered by the SUASCO Club includes the towns of Acton, Ashland, Concord, Framingham, Gleasondale, Holliston, Hopkinton, Hudson, Maynard, Marlboro, Natick, Sherborn, Stow, Sudbury, and Wayland. 276 alumni reside in these towns. The name SUASCO is taken from the Sudbury, Asabet and Concord Rivers which generally surround the area covered by the Club. If any alumni in the towns mentioned have not been contacted in the mailings or have just moved into the area, please notify the secretary (address above). Tentative plans are being made for another bus trip next fall to the University of New Hampshire football game in Hanover. Further details will be forthcoming.
