The attendance for the Special Class Reunion of 40% was indeed gratifying. To think of one member coming all the way from Florida and one from California! Present were Arthur Chivers, Carroll W. Davis, James Frank Drake, Herbert G. Parker, Cyril A. Smith, Chester A. Studwell, John Walker, and your secretary. Most of the meetings were informal and held in FrankDrake's suite in the Hanover Inn. Our conversations were lively and interesting.
We sincerely regret that Julius ArthurBrown is unable to continue as our secretary. His new address is Lake Regions Con- valescent Center, Laconia, N. H. 03246. He will welcome visitors or letters.
Charles H. Dudley has been appointed secretary to fill Julius's term and to gather news of the class and has had printed double post cards which have been sent to each member. This will be an easy way for you to report your latest news and happenings. The good letter from Hermon Farwell defining our respective duties is appreciated. Hermon promises to pass on news to me and I, in turn, will boost his Alumni Fund Campaign wherever I am able.
As I write these notes, I look back with greatest pleasure at the little reunion which my classmates and I enjoyed in my room in Dick's House. I have been in and out of the hospital since April and now it seems best that I make my recuperation at Havenwood extended care unit in Concord, N. H. My sons who have visited it describe it in glowing terms and I feel quite lucky that this brand new facility had two male beds available. It has all the modern comforts, recuperative devices and a very friendly atmosphere.
It might also be of interest to classmates that Robert Jackson '00 and Frank Cudworth 'Ol came to see me in Dick's House. I have to smile at the first business experience that Cudworth and I had when in Littleton High School. We took a contract to shingle a covered bridge in South Littleton — the job lasted until the 1927 flood though the money we received did not.
