The Dartmouth Club of Westchester once again held its annual meeting in conjunction with a welcome to the Class of '73 Westchesterites entering Dartmouth in September. The meeting was held on September 9, at Manero's Restaurant in Scarsdale and approximately 150 alumni and parents attended. President Dave Metz '54 called the meeting to order and one of the first orders of business was to elect a new slate of officers. Reg Bankart '35, chairman of the nominating committee, presented the slate which was as follows: President, D. B. Metz '54, vice-president, P. A. Jaffe '59, vice-president, E. W. Boyer '53, treasurer, Randy Malin '59 and secretary, Walt Vail '58. The slate was duly railroaded into office.

One of the highlights of the evening was the awarding of the President's Cup to Ollie Quayle '42 for his outstanding contribution to the DCW. He is the second recipient of this annual award. Joe Stevenson '57 and Tom Schwarz '57 introduced the Class of '73 and also announced the winners of the DCW Scholarship Award: Tom Sherry '73 and the DCW Merit Award: Chris Ley '73.

The highlight of the evening was the main speaker, Professor John G. Kemeny, who spoke on the topic, "Today's Campus Crisis = Where Does the Faculty Stand?" Everyone felt that his talk was most interesting and Professor Kemeny was good enough to field many questions from the alumni after his talk.

In all it was the., most successful meeting in the history of the club and we are looking forward to our most successful year ever.

Just four short weeks after the annual meeting, David B. Metz '54 and Walt Vail '58 were in Hanover for the club officers' weekend and to our delight the DCW was named the club of the year. We were only sorry that the many alumni who spent so" much time on club activities last year could not be there to accept the award with us. Needless to say, we are all very proud of the club's achievement.
