JUNE 1969 DON PETERSON '59

Secretary, 2851 North Stowell, Milwaukee, Wis. 53211

The Wisconsin alumni finished another highly active year. Geoff Maclay '45, our president, continued to lead us with inspiration. His good work has earned him a well deserved term on the Dartmouth College Alumni Council, representing the first district in region 4.

With his retirement comes a new slate of young, vigorous and devoted officers: JimNelsen '55 - president; John Hessler '59 - vice president; Don Peterson '59 - secretary; and Francis Wilson '66 - treasurer.

We shouldn't leave out the excellent effort by Dick Stanley '54, who heads our enrollment work in the state. He has consistently been finding the best boys for the past few years and will continue in this major responsibility in the future. We put him on the spot at our April monthly meeting, where he outlined for us the considerable' effort, time, and money which are spent by our Club in this area year in and year out.

Our monthly meetings have been very well attended this past year. At our traditional undergraduate luncheon over the Christmas holidays approximately 80 alumni, undergraduates, and applicants came to hear two undergraduates discuss life in Hanover these days - including both the good and the bad. This meeting was followed by our annual meeting in February, which was highlighted by an excellent talk by Ad Winship '42, who came from Hanover to talk about Dartmouth Today. Our wives were invited to this outing, as usual, and this resulted in a lively question and answer period following Ad's comments.

We have an open door to any alumni visiting Wisconsin. Our meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Milwaukee Athletic Club in downtown Milwaukee. Come and join us if you can!
