Stanley Leighton writes that Ella had not recovered sufficiently from her heart attack for them to attend any football games this fall.

Mrs. Anson McLoud, Toni to us, spent parts of July and September visiting at Dennis, Mass., on Cape Cod. The Class extends its thanks to her for her efforts in behalf of the Alumni Fund, as 37 widows contributed.

Dean Francis H. Bird spent the month of August with his daughter Harriet Grigsby at her home in Orinda, Calif. He enjoyed a motor trip in October with relatives, visiting his old stamping grounds on Cape Ann, Mass., and relatives in Maine, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. His grandson is a student at Phillips Andover Academy.

George H. Hinckley has recovered from fractured ribs caused by a fall down the stairs at his home, 130 Scamman St., So. Portland, Me., and expected to take in the Harvard and Princeton games.

As these notes are being written, Al Newton's daughter Eleanor is undergoing tests at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Brighton, Mass., for an undetermined illness. Her home address is 86 Sagamore Ave., Winthrop, Mass. 02152. Classmates remember her for the great assistance she rendered at reunions.

Hollis M. Bartlett says he took his fourth retirement last spring when, with the resignation of the minister, he retired as assistant minister of the 2nd Chestnut Street Congregational Church in Worcester, Mass. He sent along a letter from Stanley Eaton, son of the late Walter I. Eaton, that his mother Lillian Swett Eaton, died in February 1970.

Joseph A. Goodheart writes from his home, 139 Washington Ave., Chatham, N. J. 07928, that he is still going strong at 85 and has started his fourth year as a school crossing guard.

Albert W. Bates has returned to his home 71 Chestnut Hill Place, Glen Ridge, N. J. 07028, after spending the summer in West Newbury, Vt. He had telephone chats with Wilbur Bull and Lillian Hooker who has moved down to Westwood, Mass., to be near her son and daughter who live in that town.

Hortense Greenebaum, Jim's widow, enjoyed an European tour this spring and Bess Hansbury, Jack's widow, included a trip to Hawaii in her travels.

Arthur B. Stanley has changed his mailing address to P. O. Box 160, Chestnut Hill, Mass. 02167.
