It is with sadness that the death on October 22 of Anna Bull, Wilbur's wife for more than fifty years has to be reported. She had been in and out of the Mary Hitchcock Hospital this past summer and fall with coronaries. She had attended the Brown game on October 17 but had to be hospitalized again on the 20th. Memorial services were held on Sunday afternoon October 25 in the White Church. The Class was represented by Harold S. Clark, Sidney C. Hazelton, and Bertrand C. French.
Vernon F. West was confined to the hospital from Sept. 10 to 29 and has been in a nursing home since as these notes are written. We hope he is home as you read this.

Occidental College, Los Angeles, Calif., holds special interest for '09ers this year. President Richard Carleton Gilman '45 is a nephew of our deceased classmate RalphLauris Theller. Ed Meleney's grandson and the late Roy Chamberlain's granddaughter are both students there this year.
Chester and Martha Brett spent three weeks of September and October at the Hanover Inn enjoying the fall foliage and football games.
Mrs. Grace Killam, Carl's widow, is leading a busy life as a writer. She holds a "Press Card" and is a member of the National Writers Club. She is working on seven books with one already in the publisher's hand.
The Frenchs' grandson has been awarded the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in the Cambodia-Vietnam conflict.
