A vigorous effort to interest alumni, and wives, of all ages in the club program is being mapped by the club's board for Dartmouth's 202nd year.
On the drawing board is a round of neighborhood gatherings at the homes of club members during the winter holiday period when alumni and their spouses will be given an opportunity to rap with one or more undergraduates about any aspect of current campus activity.
Following this, at a date yet to be set, the club plans a dinner party with a prominent member of the college staff as guest speaker and respondent to questions which may have been stimulated by the earlier gatherings.
On the lighter side, the club plans to close its year with a repeat of last spring's railroad outing on the Black River & Western Railroad which won enthusiastic approval from all who went on the first excursion. The road is a revived steam line with refurbished equipment reminescent of the Victorian era which runs from Ringoes to Flemington.
Officers for the year are John L.Zabriskie Jr. '61, serving a second year as president; Van Wie Ingham '27, vice president; William L. Russell III '63, treasurer, and Victor E. D. King '59, continuing as secretary.
Present at the first fall board meeting were Zabriskie, Ingham, Bill Fead '44, Dick Griggs '60, Dick Sameth '59, Art Williams '63, Kirby Fowler '56, John McCloskey '58, Stan Clark '54, Al Ungar '45, and Marty Bowne '63.
