WILLIE BOGAN, Dartmouth's senior safety from Albion, Mich., who will spend Christmas Day playing in the Shrine North-South Game in the Orange Bowl, is one of 12 college seniors from across the nation chosen to receive the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame's scholar-athlete award. He will accept the award at a dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York, on December 8 - the same night that Myles Lane '2B, Dartmouth's great halfback and national scoring champion of 1927, will be inducted with seven others into the National Football Hall of Fame.

Bogan, whose 4.6 scholastic average matches his time for the 40-yard sprint, is planning a law career. He has spent two terms of study at the Universities of Costa Rica and Salamanca, and was a Tucker Foundation intern in Clarksdale, Miss. He is the second Dartmouth scholar-athlete honored by the National Football Foundation. Alan Rozycki was selected in 1960.
