John D. Dodd '22 of Hampton, N.J., a retired vice president of the New York Telephone Company, has been appointed to the Board of Overseers of both the Tuck School and the Thayer School. A Dartmouth Trustee and an Overseer of the Tuck School for the past six years, he is the first man to be named to both graduate school boards and will serve in all three position for the duration of his Trusteeship. He was named to the two boards of overseers to facilitate the development of joint facilities and future program collaboration between the two schools.

Mr. Dodd was associated with the Bell System for 42 years. For nine years before his retirement in 1964 he was responsible for the Manhattan-Bronx-Westchester territory, one of the world's most complex communications networks.
