Although quite busy in his first year of business school, he nonetheless tried out for the FIS Nordic Combined Team. Pete Anderson is also keeping active athletically while attending „Yale Med School. An ardent female admirer of his writes: "He's keeping up his squash, and as of now, hasn't been beaten. I'm very proud of him!"

From the great Northwest radioman Bob Throndsen beams in. He's the early morning (5:30 a.m.) newsman for KGW radio, a division of King Broadcasting, in Portland, Ore. Last December Bob was married to the former Carol Salomon (Mt. Holyoke '69). Rather than don a homemaker's habit, Carol is working as a cardiological research assistant at the University of Oregon Medical School.

Moving our column eastward, LorenLortscher reports in next from Denver. He finds his studies quite time-consuming at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. What "leisure time" he finds is going to Dartmouth. Loren is serving on the Denver Area Enrollment Committee interviewing prospective Pea Greeners.

Somewhere in the continental interior, Mr. and Mrs. James Mullins 3rd are living in Bloomington, Ind. Mac is doing grad work at I.U. Mrs. Mac is the former Nancy B. Nims (Skidmore '69). '69's who aided and abetted in the recent union at Darien, Conn., were Bob Garrett, Bob Lang, and Nick Perencevich. Also meshed in the Midwest we find Tashi. Kesang finished preliminary work in Eastern Asian Studies at Wisconsin this summer. He is presently a Ph.D. candidate in anthropology on the Madison campus.

Back to the East Coast, Brenda and TerryBright are living in Upper Darby, Pa. The Brights were wed in June with brother Nelson, John Segelbaum, and Neal Rubenstein sitting in. She was the former Brenda Gail Westfahl (Vassar '69). Terry is presently an assistant instructor and graduate student in physics at the University of Pennsylvania. Another Dartmouth...,then Penn academic combo is Uncle Rick Newbold. Newbs, once a Penn M.D. candidate, has now switched his allegiance to the English department at the same institution. Like many of us, his less than opulent income has forced him to become a truly diversified artisan. He substitute teaches in the Philadelphia public school system, and is a part-time school bus driver. Wife Molly is a lunch-hour teacher aide and they team up in the evening to baby sit and hook rugs!

Going just about as far East as we possibly can, we hear from Jim Bardis in South Korea. Jim left Dartmouth after two years, seven weeks, and two days to join the U.S. Army and rise to the rank of infantry sergeant. As he left midst the cacophonous ozone belches of the Lebanon Greyhound Terminal, he was heard to remark: "I shall return!" May we extend this memorable message as an invitation to all you '69 alumni to visit the Plain during the spring month of May.
