First: The Class is having a "Before and After Party" at the very important Yale game on October 30, at the Faculty Lounge of Hopkins Center. Times: 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 4:15 until 6:15 p.m. Game time is 1:30 p.m. This should be a special event that everyone tries hard to make. I hope as many classmates as possible will try to come early, too, as the fraternities always throw shows after the games. If you think you can make it, will you drop me a card and tell me how many guests will be with you? I have to buy all the goodies. Thanks.
Second: Congratulations to Gene Ryzewicz who led the Class to our Green Derby Victory this year. We had a fine dollar return, though I share the view that our percentage of participation should have been higher. Thanks too to all who gave or who helped collect for the College.
Third: We lost a fine classmate this summer, Tony Goit. The death occurred in Hanover and there will be an obituary in the November issue. I only mention that I knew Tony and he will be missed by the Class. Our deepest and sincere regrets to his family and friends.
Hank Paulson is now working for the Pentagon as a Comptroller for the Assistant Secretary of Defense. Hank married Wendy Judge (Wellesley '69) in September of 1969 and graduated from the Harvard Business School in 1970.
Sandy Saunders "never writes" so Noreen Ross Saunders (as of July 10) lets us all know that Sandy has completed his work for his Masters of Architecture at Princeton and received his degree in June. The Saunders were married at Princeton University Chapel and are planning to live in Florida.
Got a long awaited letter from Pete andLaura Dunn and both are loving it out in Oakland, California. They really like the Bay area. Pete got his MBA and Laura her AB from Stanford, and by now the baby should have arrived! Pete is a management consultant with Touche Ross & Co. in San Francisco. Scott Maricle is in the area, too, and both he and Pete have been trying to get together. Wishing you well out there on the West Coast. How do you like the autumn weather there, with the leaves, the cider, the pumpkins, etc.?
John Pierce has one year to go in the Navy. He is on the Blue Crew of the Polaris Sub George Washington Carver, and assisting in the Damage Control unit. John has spent a lot of his time working on Conservation projects too, along the Narra- gansett Bay area. Bill Kendall wrote to announce the birth of Nicholas Kilborn Kendall, who was born May 18th. He says (Bill, that is) all is great, and wife Nancy is right back on the tennis courts when not caring for the Dartmouth man-to-be.
At the Johns Hopkins Department of Social Relations one might find ChuckBerry, Joe Sachs and John Fry (with wife Susan and son Peter). Chuck's wife Sandy is a senior at Goucher College. There will be lots more in the November issue, especially when you all write to me and tell me what's happening. I am working at Dartmouth Travel Bureau and can always be contacted there in case you forget my new address. I sure hope we have a great turn out at the party October 30th. See you there?
