Compliments to Messrs. Kolasky andWitten for a very fine, very informative newsletter. A couple of additional comments to "The Times, they are a-changin': Tickets to the Nugget were $1.25. They are now $1.50. Nearby, at the new West Lebanon Shopping Plaza, there are two Cinemas. One offers a lot of Walt Disney; the other movies like "The Vixen," "Inga," and "The Minx." Many mobile students seem to make the trek to the latter, I have observed (as I walked in to see "101 Dalmatians!"), but the Nugget still reigns supreme in the Upper Valley for flickin' out.
Fourteen of the 24 fraternities entered the Inter-Fraternity Play Contest this year, and rumor has it that several more of the seven remaining nationals may go local.
The College is beginning, this summer, a program for the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, headed by John Ragle of the Education Department. The Education Department is now so large that Mrs. Alice Weymouth handles all of the placement services, and additional secretaries have been hired for the routine business.
I was pleased to get a letter from GaryWoodworth this month. Woody is living at 3454 Cornell Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220, and "lost in the Cinci General Hospital sub-culture where 'knowledge heals' and the good guys all wear white." He tells me that he spends most of his time running around in tunnels beneath the hospital trying to pick up the tricks of the trade(?). He also notes that Jim Ingersoll and his lovely wife Vivian have a nice apartment on the south side of Chicago. Jim is working hard at the Chicago Business School. Navy OCS is in the picture somewhere too, I guess. Sometime in May says Woo - and Jim is thrilled about that. The two of them spent Thanksgiving reminiscing about early Wheeler Hail days and antics.
Tom McCormack dropped Gary a line, postmarked 'Nam. He's with a helicopter squadron near Hue. He says "the countryside is beautiful, but it's best not to linger." Amen.

I got a letter from BUI Ferrier this month. Bill is presently a graduate student at California State College at Hayward. He works as an assistant to a professor of political science, and writes a column for the student newspaper. His future plans are to teach, although he is not sure at which level. This summer will find him at Washington, D.C., working for a Congressman or a governmental agency. Bill tells me that "Cedric Kam and Warren Regelmana are both now married." He then went on to say that Cedric's wife's name is Betty, which cleared that up.
Another epistle, this one from Kick Rick Pabst, fills me in on what is happening in the Northwest. Rick is at McChord AFB in Washington. He says in his letter that it had been raining so much, the magnificent skiing at nearby Crystal Mountain was tough going. The powder weighed a pound per handful. But when the sun shines, trie skiing is great. Anyone in the area, please look him up. Rick notes that Lee Reichart is married to Gay Townsend and working in Indianapolis for a drug company; Rich DuMoulin is in charge of the sailing at Annapolis - maintenance and instruction for U.S. Navy Cadets; and Bill Clark is finishing his Master of Science at Thayer School. Thanks for the news, Rick. It was good to hear from you.
Don Russell, serving as Specialist 5 near Da Nang in Vietnam, has been awarded the Bronze Star medal for meritorious service in ground operations against hostile forces. Don may be back in this country by now. He enlisted in November 1967 and went to Vietnam in August 1968 as a personnel management noncommissioned officer with the 37th Signal Battalion near Da Nang.
I hope the spring is a good one for you wherever you are, and that you will think about the classmates everywhere who would like to hear what you are doing. I am trying to decide between a trip to England and getting a Master's degree, while simultaneously getting over the flu, teaching six classes at Hanover High, and directing the musical "Carnival," which should be ready April 15. I saw Andy Saxon briefly during the Winter Carnival saturnalia, and was introduced to his lovely wife. I couldn't remember his name at first, and thought "Oh God, it's not happening already!" Old age, I guess.
