Your secretary's mailbag has been pretty empty for the past month. By the time you read this, we will have been in Hanover for the Yale game, will have picked up all of Graulty's files and memorabilia (the transfer of which couldn't quite be accomplished at Reunion) and will be in a position to contact all of you by other means. In the meantime, our thanks to the clipping service of the Alumni Records Office.

Ralph Fifield has been elected a director of the Charles River Breeding Laboratories. For those who assume that this has some connection with Drs. Masters and Johnson, be assured that the Charles River family of companies (including subsidiaries in Canada, France, Italy, the U.K. and the U. S.) is the world's largest producer of laboratory animals; it supplies specially-bred rats, mice, hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs for medical and scientific research. Ralph is vice president of the First National Bank of Boston, and is a trustee of Vermont Academy and director of various other corporations. He and his wife Sally have three children.

Tom Webb has become vice president of Leesona Corp., manufacturer of textile machinery. In his new role, he will have corporate responsibility for the Johnson Plastics Machinery, Coil Winding Machinery, Leesona Moos Laboratories and Service Parts divisions. Tom is a graduate of Babson Institute, and most recently was group vice president of the Aerospace and Electronic Division of Microdot, Inc.

All of you who send your premiums to Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance Co. will be happy to learn that Ted Walter, the squire of Rocky Hill, has become Aetna's assistant cashier and director, cash manage- ment. After graduation, Ted received his M.A. at Columbia and his law degree at Atlanta Law School.

Graham M. Brush Jr. has been made chairman of the Governor's Management Commission, established to analyze operations of the New Jersey State Government. The Commission was created in 1970 and last year submitted a report with recommendations which, if adopted, are estimated to result in annual savings and income to New Jersey of at least $36 million. Graham has been with Johnson & Johnson since 1961 and held a number of executive assignments before assuming his present post as Director of Distribution Development in 1969. He and wife Kay and two sons live at 232 Russell Road, Princeton.

Dr. Fred Richardson, who was medical officer of the Polaris submarine program from 1959 to 1961, has joined the staff of Monadnock Hospital in Peterborough, N. H., where he practices internal medicine. Fred is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and the University of Rochester Medical School; during his Navy career, he was aboard for the first submerged firing of the Polaris missile and for the first two Polaris deterrent patrols. Fred and family are living on Old Peterborough Road in Hancock, N. H.

From Boston comes the news that RalphHersey has been elected vice president and trust officer of Investors Bank and Trust Company. Ralph is, during off-duty hours, a trustee of Medfield State Hospital and Norwood Hospital, a director of the Greater Boston Council of the Camp Fire Girls, and Treasurer of the Southeast Chapter of the Massachusetts Heart Association.

At this writing, we're basking in the glow of the Massachusetts and Holy Cross games. Hope Jake's Juggernaut is still rolling as you read this.

Keep those cards 'n' letters rollin in.
