AN HOUR'S DRIVE from Hanover, on Squam Lake near Holderness, N.H., the John S. Minary '29 Conference Center now provides the College with an attractive and comfortable facility for conferences, seminars, and continuing education programs that will gain by being held off-campus. The 25-acre estate, formerly called Kiluna North, was given to Dartmouth by William S. Paley, chairman of the board of the Columbia Broad- casting System, and is namèd for his long-time Dartmouth friend and associate, John Minary, who is secretary of the William S. Paley Foundation and a partner in William S. Paley & Company.

The estate has 600 feet of frontage on Squam Lake and includes a large house, fully furnished, suitable for year-round use, and capable of accommodating about twenty guests. A large boat house offers the possibility of creating additional space for meetings or for housing conference guests.
