Dartmouth's indoor track team came up with one of its biggest victories in recent years when it tripped Yale, 5851, at Leverone Field House. It was the first time since 1961 that Dartmouth had topped the Elis in indoor action and it took a great race by Parke Rublee, Dennis Cullen, Larry Krol and Steve Davis in the final two-mile relay to do it.

The Indians won that event by 20 yards to cap an afternoon that saw them gain much ground on Yale with efforts by Wayne Moody in the shotput and Tom Byron in the high jump that led Indians sweeps of both events.

Dartmouth took a 5-2 record to the final dual meet at Brown.

Led by Justin Stanley, Jim Smith, and Dave Miskell, Dartmouth's squash team had a 4-5 record and was favored against Cornell and Rochester but not against Penn in their final matches prior to the intercollegiate tourney at Williams.

In wrestling, victories over Holy Cross and M.I.T. plus a tie with Williams have been the bright moments in a season in which the Indians have been plagued with a lack of manpower to fill every position.
