The club is really in high gear right now getting ready for the upcoming Glee Club Concert to be held at the White Plains High School on Friday night, March 19, 1971. A special press conference was held with Al Glick '60, chairman of the Concert this year. "This year's concert is really going to be special," said Al. We have more alumni in Westchester working on the concert this year than ever before and we really have involvement. The kids in the Glee Club have really worked hard on this concert and, of course, as we know they always perform far better before a packed house. We are really hoping for a tremendous turnout this year because this is going to be a great affair.
Of course, all of the net proceeds from the concert are turned over to the Dartmouth Club of Westchester Scholarship Fund which benefits about four students currently enrolled at the school. Our hope this year is to have a big financial success as well as a great performance because this is the only real source of income that the Scholarship Fund has.
Immediately following the press conference a meeting was held with other committee members working on the concert. We hope that any of our Westchester alumni who have not already marked this date down on their calendars they will do so and plan to attend. Of course, tickets can be purchased at the door.
