Greg McGregor is in a unique position to do something about the environmental crisis. Greg, an assistant attorney general in Massachusetts, has been named head of the newly created environmental protection division by Attorney General Robert Quinn.
Greg, who joined the Attorney General's staff following graduation from Harvard Law in June 1969, will be assisted by four attorneys who will devote their full attention to pollution cases.
Brief news notes about other young barristers follow: Capt. John La Salle has been assigned to the Judge Advocate General's Office at Long Binh Army Base near Saigon. John, a graduate of Fordham Law, is on leave from the New York law firm of Carter, Ledyard & Millburn.
Ed Kuriansky will complete his second year as clerk to Judge Morris Lasker in New York's Federal District Court this summer and head right into a three-year term as assistant U. S. attorney in the Southern District of New York. Rick Bead is working for the Department of Justice in Washington, and Dave Dubrow, a New Jersey lawyer, has added the awesome responsibility of our class newsletter to his docket.
Dick Horner, who has graduated from both Dartmouth and Harvard Medical Schools and is interning at Boston's Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, plans to marry Nancy Martin this month. Nancy graduated from the University of Massachusetts School of Nursing and is a staff nurse in Peter Bent's emergency ward.
Its Alumni Fund time, and we're being deluged with correspondence from Hano- ver. If you want to give, once is probably enough. If you don't, a letter a day won't convince you. To add the customary ALUMNI MAGAZINE pep talk would be of little avail.
Suffice it to say if you feel any allegiance to Dartmouth the school is worthy of modest financial support. Each of us must determine if allegiance to the College exists, but as a rule of thumb it's safe to say that anyone who gets this far in this column has got to like the College. Send a check.
