April means many things to a Dartmouth undergraduate - Softball on the Green, frisbie on Tuck Drive, running to Thayer during a shower - but to alumni April means Alumni Fund Drive, a chance to contribute a little to the place that contributed to us a great deal.

Rick Wadsworth, who had to step down from the Head Agent position when the Air Force called, took another big step on January 19 when he married Karen Leslie Olson in Poughkeepsie, N. Y.
John Sparks and Barbara Adele Hugli, a graduate of Green Mountain, were married on December 28 in St. Louis. On the same day Dick Robson and Linda B. Suter, an alumna of the University of Rochester, exchanged vows in Rochester,, N. Y. The couple is living in Philadelphia were Dick is attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Architecture.
Steve Warhover, now studying at Northwestern University Graduate School of Business Administration, and Anne V. Tate, a Colby Junior graduate who is a seniorat Syracuse University, became engaged in late December.
Barbara Eaton Brastow, a graduate of Elmira College and now a student at the Berkeley School in New York, is engaged to Paul Semple, studying law at the University of Connecticut in Hartford.
Chris Coombs, who has just completed three years in the Army Special Forces including one year in Vietnam, has returned to Dartmouth and is also engaged to Lindsey Ann Sharp.
John Hall, a sixty-six now enrolled at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, is engaged to Emily Louise Moulton, a senjor at Hood College who graduated from Colby Junior.
In military matters, Jim Botelho was commissioned an ensign at graduation exercises Officer Candidate School at the . Naval Base in Newport, R. I. Jim is to Commander Carrier Division 9 Diego, Calif. Gus Southworth completed basic training at Fort Dix, N. J., and as entered Army officers' candidate school in Fort Bennins. Ga.
From our ever-expanding Peace Corps contingent. Jeff Fellows writes from Nepal that he is the only American in the village of Mulpani. He is concerned primarity with the people. "Some are poor, but most are happy . I am amazed at the tremendous support I have received from them."
Jeff is often questioned about America. "We, as Americans," he writes from Nepal, "are looked up to, perhaps in large part because of our material wealth; nevertheless, this admiration for the country some Nepali people refer to as 'heaven' puts us in the spotlight. The Nepalis watch every action of America."
Doug Hill is one of 40 Peace Corps Volunteers recently assigned to the Pacific Islands of Micronesia, a group of six islands which the UnitedStates States administers under a United Nations trusteeship agreement. He recently completed twelve weeks of training at Molokai, Hawaii, whose environment closely approximates that of Micronesia. Doug will work in the areas of health, community development, education, public works, and public administration.
Steve Coles also sends word of his impressions, this time from the University of Georgia where he is working towards his doctorate in marine zoology. "The Zoology Department itself is great, but like most state universities neither the students nor the school itself can compare to our alma mater, I'm afraid. One refreshing change, though, is the plentitude of fluffy Georgia peach co-eds wandering around, a vast improvement."
Budge Gere is teaching English at Hamilton, N. Y., High School and coaching both the high school varsity and the Colgate University freshman hockey teams. At last report his frosh were 6-1, with a win over powerful Cornell and a victory over the Army Plebe team, coached by John Carpenter '64.
Jack Young (left) and Jim Parker were classmates again at Officer Training School (OTS), Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Both Connecticut natives have just been graduated and commissioned second lieutenants in the Air Force. Jack, who is from Greenwich, will be at Keesler AFB. Mississippi, for training as an avionics officer. He was a chemistry major at Dartmouth and a member of Gamma Delta Chi. Jim is from Riverside. He is being assigned to Tyndall AFB, Florida, for training as a weapons controller. At Dartmouth Jim was a math major and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
