Bob and Nancy Lynn wrote, on legal size yellow lined paper of course, recapping the events in their lives to date. After graduation Bob entered the Peace Corps and spent one year in Birni N'Konni, Niger, West Africa where he taught school. After getting a bit fed up, Bob left and entered University of Minnesota Law School. However, he got called up for active duty in the Army Reserves, where he spent his time at Ft. Polk, La. Bob married Nancy McClellan (Wheaton) last June in Buffalo, N. Y., at which time a "wet Tri-Kap wedding" was held, according to reports on the best authority.

Living on Capitol Hill in Washington, D. C., and working on the staff of the "Congressional Quarterly" is John Hamer. He went to the Capitol last fall for a Fellowship at the Washington Journalism Center. Prior to that, John attended Stanford University and was completing the Master's program in journalism. He is happily married to the former Heidi Hoffmann (University of Oregon) and says "no kids yet." John writes, however, that Greg and Jeannie Fetler's beautiful daughter Tabetha is now two years old, and that mother and daughter are currently living with Greg's parents in Japan while Greg works as a tactical coordinator on an antisubmarine patrol plane, flying out of the Philippines. Jim and Iris Frey and their baby boy Christopher are living in Lancaster, Pa. Jim just completed basic reserve training last winter and was job hunting at New Year's time. The Frey's got together at that time with Jack and ElaineHopke. Jack had just finished a Vietnam tour and apparently thought the Army wanted him for a special assignment in Laos, about which he was understandably reluctant. Dave Effron was also supposed to be at the party but couldn't make it. He got in touch and told us he had finished duty in Vietnam and was trying to get back in Columbia Business School, where he was when he got drafted. John also spotted Bob Tannenwald when he was home in D.C. He is at Harvard on a special combined science-economics program under his Danforth Fellowship. Bob also has had military obligations since graduation ... He is fluent in Russian, compliments of Army Intelligence, for whom he worked as a translator. Thanks for all the information, John. It is much appreciated.

Dolph Higrhmark pursued his athletic endeavors on the baseball diamond a bit further in the summer of 1968, and that August found himself in Wichita for the national A.B.C. Tournament. He put aside a few tentative and tenuous offers to play for a major league club and settled soon thereafter for the quiet scholarly pursuit of a law degree at the University of Michigan Law School. In January of 1969, he got the call from the Navy OCS and headed for Newport, R. I. There his existence was given credance by a few familiar faces: those of Ed Marlette, Bill Martens, Bill Jaeger, Tom Long, and John Everett. Dolph married Judy von Gal that July, with Fred Palmer attending the honors. Last fall Judy and Dolph returned to Michigan, upon his early release from the Navy due to reserve cuts, and the two of them hope to return to New England to settle down. Great hearing from you both.

Not too bustling Portland, Me., has been the stomping grounds of one Tim O'Connor who is there working in the Maine Medical Center. But Tim will be back in Boston in June to complete his fourth year at Tufts. He ran into John McNamara and saw Sandy Dunlap not long ago. John is selling insurance and building a home. Sandy is just recently home from Vietnam, looking none the worse for the experience.

That about wraps it up. I have taken leave of the teaching profession in order to concentrate on full-time work for the Dartmouth Travel Bureau, owned by Bea and Joe D'Esopo '29. I am excited about the move and look forward to having any classmate or friend write to me about any trip they would like to take anywhere. It should be a great way to keep in touch with classmates all over the world.
