A seven-goal outburst in the third period, the most goals scored in a single period by a Dartmouth lacrosse team in more than five seasons, triggered a 12-4 win over New Hampshire and capped a 4-10 season for Coach Dudley Hendrick's stickmen.

The top scorer of the season, as he was as a sophomore, was Captain Mike Diaz from Pelham, N. Y., who had 16 goals and 17 assists. Diaz had 28 points as a sophomore. His total this spring was the best since Bob McCormick notched 45 points in 1966.

The other key performer was goalie Mitch Whiteley from Towson, Md who made 209 saves in 14 games' Diaz's support on the attack came from sophomore Scott Anderson who had 13 goals and six assists along with mid-fielder Bob Bassett, a junior who had 10 goals and four assists.
