Our activities for the 1971-72 season started with a breakfast meeting in October at which Frank Tepper '55 showed his movies of a trip to Moscow. In November, we held our annual Ladies luncheon at Bay Hills Country Club, our featured speaker being none other than Don Cheney '11 who gave us highlights of the history of Orlando-Winter Park areas. Our Christmas luncheon was in December followed on January 15 by a luncheon honoring Coach Jack Crouthamel who gave us a fine talk on events at Hanover and ended with a showing of the 1971 football film.

In February, a group from the club visited Daytona Beach again, bringing with us the football movies. We hope that that group will be able to form their own club. Our guest there was Dave Orr '57 of the college who gave the Eastern Shore group information helpful in forming a local Alumni Club.

The highlight event came on March 24 when the Glee Club came to this area for the first time. Under the general chairmanship of John Tiedtke '30 and his most efficient sub-committee chairman, Bush Auditorium (courtesy of Rollins College) was filled to capacity with about 460 alumni and friends. The Glee Club gave an outstanding performance resulting in an excellent review by a music critic in the next day's newspaper. Entertainment for the boys provided by local alumni kept them busy most of the time while here. At Walt Disney World they were the guests of Disney and gave a short concert before a large and enthusiastic group. With the visit by the Glee Club, we are sure that Dartmouth has made many new friends in Central Florida. Director Paul Zeller was at his best. The growth of this area has resulted in new active members joining our Alumni Club and to mention just a few, we welcome Jay Runkle '13, Col. ArnoldAlexander '39, Dr. Gordon Parson '49,Frank Hershenson '65, and lit. TomHopkins Jr. '69. Later as others join our Club we will try to report who they are.

We will hold our annual meeting on April 25th and end our activities with an outdoor picnic in May as guests of Val andJoan Schuler '45.
