Dartmouth's 58th annual Alumni Fund campaign continues in high gear with $1.5 million in gifts and pledges from 11,900 contributors received through May 22. This included $1,327,000 in cash gifts and another $173,000 in pledges. It put the current campaign ahead of last year on the same date by $190,000.

Plans for an intensive June drive are already under way. A June mail folder, featuring a letter from Channell Truman Libbey '36, is going to all noncontributors, and appears as an advertisement on the facing page of this issue. The Fund Committee is also sponsoring a late-June telephone campaign operating from Boston, New York, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Twelve reunion classes, operating under the new Class Reunion Giving Program, are currently running 125% ahead of last year. The Class of 1922 has already reached its 50-year reunion goal of $75,000 to set a new record. Several classes are expected to top $100,000.

Chairman Robinson Bosworth Jr. '37 reports that he and the Fund Committee are optimistic that the full $2.75-million goal will be achieved by the June 30 closing date.
