Freshmen fathers' weekend at Dartmouth was an occasion to spend a pleasant evening with DickBurns and his son Jim '76 who lives across the hall in Gile from my son Sheldon '75. It also was a great pleasure to have had a brief chat with JackTobin's very charming daughter Betsy '76. Jack's participation in some ski races prevented his coming to Hanover. Some people never give up.

A recent letter from Dr. Bill Dorrance told of the trip he and Wilma took in November to Japan and Hong Kong. Bill also called my attention to a news article in Pediatric News concerning an address delivered by Dr. Tom McElin at a recent clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons. Tom is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University School of Medicine. A major portion of his discussion concerned advances in the field of fetal medicine which has contributed to the early diagnosis and treatment of fetal abnormalities during in- trauterine life. He particularly emphasized new techniques which predict maturity, the presence of genetic abnormalities, and the administration of intrauterine blood transfusions. He also described a number of new diagnostic methods which have greatly improved survival of newborns. Tom is a pioneer in research and a highly regarded authority in these fields.

Ernie Friez Jr. must have one of the most in- teresting jobs of all our classmates. Ernie is manager of the beautiful St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco where he is in constant view of the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge He is five minutes away from work by bicycle. Ernie and Vivian have a ten-year-old daughter Susan who is in the fourth grade.

Arthur and Faith Huck continue to live in Rowayton, Conn. All three daughters are married and the oldest, Pamela, is living in England and has a four and a half-year-old son. The next daughter Georgeanna is married to a lawyer and lives in Galveston, Texas. Their youngest daughter Deborah is living in San Diego, Calif. where she is doing secretarial work.

Bob Smith resides in Kensington, Conn., where he remains in the industrial distribution business, lane and Bob's daughters are both married and their son Bob is spending his Tufts junior year in Eneland. The oldest girl Bette-Jane has two daughters and a son. Their youngest girl Nancy was married last year to Jeff Jenks who graduated from Princeton but plans to attend Tuck School in the fall.

Several other classmates in the Connecticut area have indicated that there is little major change in their lives. Alan Bede travels a great deal in the brokerage business which occasionally takes him to Hawaii. Walter Friend struggles with the Penn Central Railroad which provides his daily transportation from South Norwalk to Fun City where he continues in the field of investment banking. Roland Wilhelmy holds a challenging assignment as a guidance counselor at Darien High School.

Don and Marion Williamson are about to embark on a most ambitious trip which will take them to Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. Their oldest son Don is working with his father in the adhesive business in Chicago. Their next son Richard is in law school and is planning to be married in the near future. Their youngest son Bruce is a junior at Dartmouth, and their married daughter Barbara has a two-year-old daughter.

Buzz Cassidy is hard at work organizing the class agent program for this year. He is hopeful of an outstanding Alumni Fund year which can be achieved only through the cooperation of each of us.
