As is inevitable in our eighties, we have an unusual group of obituaries in this issue. Probably many of the Class did not know Leo McCusker because he left college during his freshman year. Of course we all knew Henry Kelly and CharlieGibson. The sympathy of the Class goes to our faithful class agent Andy Scarlett who just lost his wife on March 26.
Many colleges have been having less applications than formerly, but Dartmouth applications continue to soar. There are already 5500 applications among the men for the next year's freshman class, and 2500 women are applying.
Fred Perry '45 writes that the star kicker for the '71 and '72 football team, whose middle name is Scott is his son and the grandson of our son ScottPerry.
This is a small world. Bill Shapleigh who wrote the newsletter for 1912 is the brother of our classmate's widow Mite Elliott, and Gordon Sleeper who writes the 1914 newsletter lives on the unfrequented road only one-half mile from where your secretary has a summer camp.
