Chuck Bush reported that they weathered the winter on the Cape in good shape. He is convinced that he was correct in his attitude in the election last fall and wonders, along with your secretary whether Ken Clark's fun has evaporated. (See Class Notes item on this subject in the February Alumni Magazine). He doesn't believe he will get to Hanover this spring. He drives a lot but does not relish long trips. He hopes that all the changes work out well at Hanover but observes it is difficult for us old timers to get used to them.

Ben Livingston is one of the very few who has a business he tends to. He goes to the office every day. He tried retirement ten years ago but after eight months was bored to tears, and was only too happy to get back to work. Gloria and he haven't done much travelling in recent years but they had more than their share in their younger years.

True Dudley is really hitting on all cylinders. He walks a mile a day at a good clip: four miles an hour. He attended the Harvard-Dartmouth football game in Cambridge last fall and deplored the fumbles. In November he attended the regional convention of the F.E.B.M.F.I, in New York with 7,000 others. He was much uplifted by Kathryn Kohlman, the famous faith healer. The Lord has been good to him. We envy his activity. Ours is all in our head.

Spim Norris has turned the corner with his broken hip - for a while it was touch and go. They are bad medicine. He considers the Norris strain tough and durable in that all three of them in 1911 are in being. He inquired for Elton Norris, possibly because he had not seen any reference to him in the notes these past two years. He is incapacited in a rest home. His address is 115 Hamlet Hills, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022. He cannot answer mail.

Madge Locke reports that Clyde hasn't been well - and has been in hospital eight times in the past five years. They sold their home in Florida last year and spent last winter in Buffalo. Many of their friends have retired to Florida but they hate hot weather and will play out the game in the North. Clyde is up and about but his social activities are limited. Neither of them favors coeducation at Dartmouth.

Ruth Backus has written to five of our classmates' widows. She is much better and the pacemaker clicks merrily along. She is president of the Wellesley Class of 1913 and had the chore of planning all the details of her 60th Reunion on June 1. An out-going, remarkable lady.

John Pearson and Margaret cut short their stay in Charleston, S.C., from their intended two months. John is a sturdy character. He made the round trip in a wheel chair. His great satisfaction was visiting with Troy and Janet Parker every day, who have wintered there the past three years.

Henry S. Horton died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Winona, Minn., on April 3. He had been in the hospital three times last fall. Sydney C. Beane passed away suddenly on April 23 in North Weymouth, Mass., collapsing at a filling station while getting an inspection sticker for his car.

Obituaries for both Henry and Syd will appW in this or a later issue of the Alumni Magazine.

Report on the April 12 issue of 'LEVEN UP:No one has volunteered for the job of editor so it looks as if 'LEVEN UP will be dropped except for possibly one or two issues a year under the auspices of the Executive Committee. As of the end of April, only Burtt, Holden, Kimball, Macomber, Morrill, and Parker had responded to the question presented in 'LEVEN UP for discussing and swapping opinions with classmates and that number is hardly enough to warrant gettins out the later report to the Class which was mentioned as a possibility in the April 12 issue. If enough more replies come in, will try to report to the Class later on.

Class Notes in the July Magazine are reserved for the regular five-year reuning classes so our next report will be in October. Please remember the deadline date for copy is September 1. Have a good summer.
