The Green lacrosse team won its final two games against New Hampshire (18-9) and Union (13-5) to finish with a 7-10 record, the most wins for the Green since 1965. The measure of improvement for Coach Dudley Hendrick's team is in the scoring output. In 1970, Dartmouth managed only 26 goals. This season, the Green scored 144 times.

The scoring leader was Co-Captain Scott Anderson from Ithaca, N.Y., who had 39 points. He and his co-leader, goalie Mitch Whiteley from Towson, Md., gained berths on the All-Ivy League second team and both were named to the North squad in the annual college all-star game.

Whiteley set Dartmouth and Ivy League records for saves made in his career and Anderson's career total of 100 points places him sixth among Dartmouth's all-time lacrosse scoring leaders.

They've been succeeded by defenseman Mike Shedlosky from Camp Hill, Pa., and midfielder Tim Gilchrist from Denver, Colo., as the 1974 co-captains.
